Yoga

Yoga is a word that describes a variety of Hindu practices developed to unify the body and mind. Derived from the word, “yoke”—to bring together— yoga does just that, bringing together the mind, body and spirit, thereby encouraging physical and mental well-being.

Yoga most commonly involves a series of stretching postures, breathing exercises, and meditative practices. Diet is also considered important.

Some of the benefits of Yoga include:

  • Increased flexibility
  • Increased lubrication of the joints, ligaments, and tendons
