Using a sequence of gentle, flowing exercise movements, the client's body is moved, loosened and stretched through the joints and the muscles.  Thai massage is practiced on a firm mat on the floor instead of on a table. This is done in order to receive the maximum effective and benefits of the massage therapist's body weight during the massage. Except for the feet, the client remains fully clothed, so draping is not necessary.
